Who We Are

Doctor Screen Victoria is a locally owned business under the national Doctor Screen brand, with locations across Canada. Our team specializes in all types of screens, including standard ones, custom screens for heritage homes, and RV screens for your travels.

We also offer handyman services to help with home maintenance tasks like replacing window hinges, assembling furniture, and fixing leaky faucets. We’re here to assist with all your home needs!

We provide excellent customer service, offering friendly and respectful help to ensure you are satisfied with the results.

Where Are You Located?

We are mobile service located in Saanich, BC and service the Capital Region all the way to Sooke and past the Malahat to Duncan. We also service the Southern Gulf Islands.

Where Are Your Screens Made?

Most of the time, screens are made right on your doorstep! If, however, there is a lack of space for our mobile workshop, your screens will be off-site in our workshop located in Saanich, BC.

What Kind of Mesh Do You Offer?

We offer 3 kinds of mesh: regular carbon fiber-coated fiberglass mesh, Pet Resistant mesh and Pollen Guard mesh.

Are You License and Insured?

Yes! We are fully insured, all of our employees have also had a criminal record check so that you have peace-of-mind when we are working in your home.

How Do I Get Started?

You can easily get started by filling out the following form and tell us what you need done. If you can email us some pictures of the screens or of the work to be done, it can help us with the quoting process. Otherwise, give us a call and we can arrange an in-home visit.

Do You Have Pre-Cut Screens?

All windows and doors are unique requiring a custom cut frame to fit your window or door.

Do You Repair Screens?

Yes! We repair most fixed and retractable screens. If we can access replacement parts, we’ll be happy to assist you in repairing your screen. We even repair retractable screens from Wizard Screens, Phantom Screens, Mirage Screens and Genius Screens.

How Long Does It Take to For Us to Get Our Screens?

Each screen is custom-made and takes 20-30 minutes to measure, build, dry-fit, and install. Our mobile workshop offers a unique process that guarantees the best quality and fit for your windows and doors. After you approve a quote, we aim to visit your home in 2-3 weeks. However, in spring and summer, it might take up to 4 weeks due to high demand. For quicker service, we suggest contacting us in fall and winter.

How Do We Handle Payments?

We accept credit card, E-transfer and cash. Custom orders or jobs that require that screens be manufactured off-site will require a 50% deposit with the balance to be paid once the job is installed and complete.

Is There Anything We Need To Do On The Day of Installation?

Please clear the area in front of the windows and doors so we can work. If your windows need repairs or washing, we recommend having them done before our visit to avoid damaging your new screens. Jobs do not always go smoothly. As such it is important that there be a person of authority on-site who can make a decision regarding any complications that may arise.

Regular fiberglass mesh can be quite delicate but is great at keeping the larger pests out of your home and is recommended for most applications.

Pet Resistant mesh is quite a bit thicker and tougher than regular mesh and is designed to hold up better to pet claws and some rough treatment.

Lastly, Pollen Guard mesh is designed to keep pollen as well as pests out of your home and is recommended for allergy or asthma sufferers.

What Happens If My Screen Gets Damaged?

Reach out to us for assistance! If the problem is under our warranty, we’ll repair or replace it for free. If it’s not covered, a service charge will apply. For homes with kids or pets that might be hard on screens, we suggest using Pet Resistant mesh, which is stronger and more durable.

Do You Offer A Warranty?

Yes! We offer a 1 year labor warranty on all the work we do. Mirage Retractable Screens offers a limited lifetime warranty on their parts and Titan Security Screens offers up to a 15 year warranty of their doors and reimbursement of up to $1000 USD if your home is broken into via the Titan Security Screen.

If you have a warranty issue with a Mirage or a Titan screen door installed by us, give us a call and we will work with you, or instruct you on the proper steps with either company.
